WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK

I wrote Nonprofit Survival 2025 because I could see, with painful clarity, what was coming. As federal grant programs were delayed, clawed back, or outright canceled, I've watched organizations that had done everything “right” scramble to hold the line. Longtime clients, workshop attendees, and colleagues across the country are suddenly asking the same urgent question: What do we do now? This ebook is my answer to that question—a guide to help nonprofit leaders adapt, stabilize, and rebuild using the tools and intelligence available to them right now.

The inspiration came from a moment I didn’t plan. Last November, I gave a presentation at a national conference for home repair nonprofits. I talked about diversifying grant funding—and during the Q&A, someone asked if AI could help. That question sparked a deeper conversation, and a few months later, the organizers reached out to ask me to create a training on exactly that topic. That one exchange confirmed what I’d already been feeling: the organizations that survive 2025 won’t be the ones who hustle harder. They’ll be the ones who think differently—who pair strategic insight with smart tools to do more with less.

This ebook captures the core of that philosophy. It’s not just about using AI or chasing different grants—it’s about approaching grant development with real intelligence, clear priorities, and a resilient mindset. I wrote it to demystify what’s happening, offer a path forward, and equip nonprofit professionals with practical steps they can take today. If you’re feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or just ready to try something new, this guide is for you.
